Welcome to the 2023-2024 school year!
I am Meredith Byrd, and I am honored to serve as the Assistant Principal of Alexander II Math & Science Magnet School. I am excited to join the Alexander II family and work alongside the outstanding community of teachers, parents, and students. I desire to serve all stakeholders and work toward our shared goal of educating our children.
I am entering my 21st year in education. I have served as an elementary and middle school teacher and a middle school instructional coach with Clayton County Public Schools and Griffin-Spalding County Schools before joining the Bibb County School District team.
I graduated from the University of Georgia with a Master of Educational Administration and Policy degree and Mercer University with a Specialist of Teacher Leadership degree, including a minor in mathematics. I am currently working on completing my Doctorate in Educational Leadership from the American College of Education.
I am a life-long learner and proud educator. My goal is to support every student at Alexander II and assist each in reaching their full potential while experiencing the best education possible.
